Large portions, super tasty at a very fair price. Great big playground for kids

Nice beer garden above Echterdingen. I found the restaurant via Gogglemap and stopped by after a bike tour. Very friendly staff, very tasty cuisine, large portions. What I also liked is how the hygiene rules are implemented there. Again a big compliment to the whole workforce.

Due to the corona, we had to wait until an 8th table became free. That was 45 minutes. But it's worth it, as the photos prove. The waitresses are all very nice and helpful. As a delicacy, under certain weather conditions, there is also the candy of marveling at aircraft approaching Echterdingen at a very low altitude. Just on the last day of the holiday before our children came back to school, all the tourist planes floated in. We smiled and drank our Bübles beer and Aperol sprizz and let the day end there. It's just a shame that the kitchen closes at 8 p.m. otherwise we would have ordered some sundaes. And they are not small !!

Great outdoor lighting, very friendly staff and excellent cuisine! All in all, an absolutely recommendable restaurant. We will definitely come back and are glad to have such restaurants in our area.

As always, the food was delicious. But please use a smart disinfectant and no chlorine because it will make you lose your appetite. Even when entering the beer garden there is a star deduction !!!!!!!!! Addendum: Disinfectant has been replaced ??

It was my first time there after a bike tour. Very friendly staff, very tasty cuisine. The portions are unfortunately way too big. Finally a pub / beer garden where the hygiene rules are implemented. Hand disinfection, face mask away from the table, tables cleaned in front of new guests, assigned table ... etc. There is a diaper changing station and next door, if I understood correctly, a public playground. I was there for the first time but certainly not the last time. Again a big compliment to the kitchen and the staff.

Very delicious food ... You have to wait for your meal ... longer than anywhere else but everything freshly prepared. The wait for the delicious food is definitely worth it ? The staff go out of their way to be a big plus. Ambience in the beer garden top ... And the hygiene is implemented here perfectly.

You sit very nicely in the country. Very nice service, delicious food, huge portions. Corona rules are implemented very well. I would love to come back!

Highly recommended! We received a very friendly welcome and after we disinfected our hands we were brought to our seat. We left our details there. The staff (all with masks) were very friendly and we were well advised. The prices are absolutely great, as is the quality of the food and the portion sizes. The food came very quickly after we ordered. The beer garden is very cozy and every table is cleaned with disinfectant after you leave. It was definitely worth it.

Now I urgently have to leave a few Sternles on the Sternlesberg! It was perfect again yesterday. Even hand disinfection now smells delicious and my special request for a mushroom cream sauce was gladly and well fulfilled. You are a great multicultural team who are happy to end the day! Thank you ?

We were here many years ago and it was pretty good. Now it seems to have a new tenant. Ordered onion roast and schnitzel was excellent, service very friendly and if everything is freshly prepared you have to wait a bit. We will definitely come back here more often. Great go on.

Very friendly staff ... were welcomed really nice .... hands disinfected ... each menu its own ... nice place in the shade. Food was super delicious ... Caution if you are not that hungry it is better to take a small portion, because the normal one is "Wow" ? really big ... we took one schnitzel home with us. A double "wow" for the meal .... Spätzle homemade, fries fried in fresh fat, schnitzel super crispy fried in butter or clarified butter ... Salad rich and really homemade crispy fresh. Nice ambience a bit enchanted overgrown ... just relax and enjoy. When guests leave everything is disinfected accurately ... tip ipp Staff very very attentive ? We are thrilled and very happy to come back ?

The lady on the phone was very friendly. So was the reception in the rustic parlor. The service is nice, friendly and very attentive. The beer was tapped perfectly. :) The dishes are very, very tasty and the size of the portions is very large. Of particular note is the homemade breading, very crispy - delicious! Everything is worth mentioning! Was our first, but will definitely not have been our last visit there !!!

Great, just great. Tasty and freshly prepared food. Have the portions from the next table and a small portion and a freshly ordered ? ordered. Look at this portion. After that I could not cycle anymore ... ??? Man, what more do you want ?

Been there many times. Super friendly and great food . Awesome park for the kids as well. You can easily spend the day just hanging out.

Unfriendly service and long waiting times for drinks and the bill in the Biergarten. The waitress even asked for a tip!

Excellent food and nice size portions. Do not accept credit cards, so have some Euros. I always try to eat here when in town.

If you are in Stuttgart, and want Schnitzel, this is your place. A family, home cooked German meal. I swear the home like atmosphere and service along with their specially handled and prepared meals can only be experienced. The potato salad is something special. It was late on a Friday night, and my friend and I were asking about their cold plates (vesper) and the lady of the house brought us samples. Sweet people and delicious homemade food.

The Echterdinger Waldheim Stuben Schwabisch Kuche is one of my favorite all-time German restaurants. I have lived in this area of Germany for 7 years and have tried all kinds of restaurants near an far and I always rave about this place. The genuine Germane dishes are always served friendly, hot and very delicious. The prices are very reasonable and the staff are great at speaking English. The side salads are phenomenal with German potato salad, two different types of slaw and a cucumber relish all hidden below the various lettuce leaves above. For those of you who have not yet had the wonderful experience of trying Gaisberger-Narsch soup, this is the place to make it happen! You will get a large bowl of the best soup you have ever eaten which includes Spatzle, Beef, Potatoes and Onions swimming in an awesome beef/chicken broth. This is a meal, particularly when combined with the side salad. They have wonderful choices for beer/schnapps and wine here but I personally recommend their normal Dunkel; it will satisfy you!!! The Pepper Steak here has been a go to for me for years, worth every penny! During the summer months the beer garden is open outside; they have a really nice site for it. I hope you like planes because they will fly over the restaurant from the Stuttgart airport. I personally love seeing those big birds fly over. I have taken many people there and have never heard anything bad about it. This is a must try place for authentic German cuisine!!!

Wonderful restaurant and biergarten! The food--which is prepared in the local Schawbian style--is simply excellent, and the schnitzel is particularly good. Classic dishes prepared well. Their service is always friendly and professional. Relaxing forest atmosphere and great playground to keep the kids engaged. Great hospitality and atmosphere. We’ll be back soon!

Unser Stammrestaurant! Delicious cooking, huge portions at very reasonable prices, delightful waitstaff, and great location. The food here (Schwabian specialties) is several notches above typical Biergarten fare, and always freshly prepared with high quality ingredients. During the summer you can relax outside, surrounded by beautiful scenery, while the kids play in the big playground, and in the colder months the "Stuben" are cozy and warm. Service has always been excellent and friendly, even when it's busy on a sunny evening. Love this place!

This is our favorite Biergarten in the summer and a cozy restaurant in the winter. Location is great and the local playground is fun for kids or all ages. The food/menu is amazing and has local specialties. Servers are friendly and helpful (even if you don't speak German).
